Inside the Role Responsible for executing DTNA's Culture & Belonging vision and strategic framework, advancing initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, workforce effectiveness, and organizational performance. Lead the development and implementation of programs, training, recruiting initiatives, and employee experience efforts that enhance talent attraction and retention while supporting a collaborative, respectful, and high-performing workplace culture. Partner across the organization to embed these principles into business processes, leadership practices, and employee interactions. What You Drive at DTNA This is a hands-on management role where you will personally be heavily involved in project management, presentations, training, consulting, ideation and all other aspects of C&B strategy within DTNA with a small support team with 1 direct report in the US and 1 indirect report in Mexico. You will work closely with key partners including Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs) leaders and teams to work on critical strategic projects. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and disciplined executor who can identify, develop, and implement initiatives that strengthen talent attraction, engagement, development, and retention across DTNA. This individual must effectively translate innovative concepts into scalable solutions that drive meaningful organizational impact. Given finite resources, success will depend on applying a disciplined approach to prioritization, focusing efforts on initiatives that deliver the greatest value and measurable outcomes. Strong organizational influence and a well-established network will enable the candidate to build alignment, secure support, and mobilize resources necessary to advance the Culture & Belonging strategy while supporting DTNA's business goals and workforce success. Works closely with the Chief Belonging Officer and C&B Council to set vision and ultimately develop and implement strategies to move towards the vision. Provide coaching and guidance to DTNA’s EBRG (Employee Business Resource Group) team leads nationwide. Ensures that activities and initiatives involving all business units and EBRGs and related organizations within DTNA support the strategic direction of the Company's Culture & Belonging Strategy. Develops, organizes and plans for C&B programs and events along with the C&B team. Examples include: Day of Understanding, Day of Awareness, C&B Champions Programs, C&B for People Leaders trainings, and the ‘Our People Awards’. Consults to improve our organization’s environment; ensuring we foster a culture that is inclusive, innovative, willing to take risks, that proactively leverages all dimensions of diversity. Working with internal or external partners, develops education and learning platforms based on organizational needs and in keeping with evolving best practices. Develops a C&B communications strategy that will keep team members informed about the C&B programs and policies using multiple internal communication channels. (C&B Newsletter, Staffbase, “HeyDTNA”, etc) Aligns DTNA efforts with other Daimler affiliates as needed. Works directly with C&B Manager from Daimler Truck on global initiatives. Also represents DTNA as part of the Global C&B Advisory Board. Develops metrics to drive desired outcomes that are specific to the business needs and culturally appropriate for various regions of the world. Ensures all C&B related efforts on behalf of the company are performed in the spirit of best practices in accordance to company and legal standards to demonstrate compliance. Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school required 5+ years of experience developing and implementing enterprise culture, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, change management, talent, or workforce initiatives. Experience working on C&B topics within a business environment. Experience leading direct reports or large project teams is preferred. Demonstrated skills in project management. Demonstrated skills in ideation of strategies aligned to a vision and successful implementation is required Excellent and engaging presentation skills required Experience interpreting workforce metrics and translating data into strategic business recommendations. Experience consulting with senior leaders on organizational or people-related business challenges. Experience using workforce analytics and employee engagement data to influence business decisions Knowledge of employment practices, organizational effectiveness, and employee lifecycle strategies Ability to build enterprise-wide programs that support business transformation initiatives Exceptional Candidates Might Have 8+ years relevant experience preferred Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, HR, OD, or other similar field preferred Master’s degree preferred Leadership experience on critical C&B (DE&I) initiatives or programs. Corporate or non-profit C&B (DE&I) management experience preferred Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US.
