Data Business Analyst – ServiceNow

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst with strong expertise in ServiceNow data and platform products, including CMDB, APM, CSDM, Platform Analytics, and ITOM.

The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business requirements, data strategy, and ServiceNow capabilities, while ensuring solutions follow ServiceNow Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and translate them into ServiceNow data and platform requirements
• Work with stakeholders to understand business challenges, objectives, and future needs
• Contribute to defining the organization's ServiceNow data vision and roadmap
• Advise stakeholders on ServiceNow OOTB capabilities and best practices
• Challenge requirements and guide teams toward standard ServiceNow solutions
• Identify opportunities to maximize the value of ServiceNow modules
• Contribute to data models, processes, governance, and ServiceNow strategy
• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and vision-setting discussions
• Collaborate with ServiceNow architects, developers, product owners, and business stakeholders
• Document requirements, processes, use cases, and functional specifications
• Support prioritization and decision-making around ServiceNow capabilities

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a ServiceNow Business Analyst
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow data structures and platform capabilities
• Experience with CMDB, APM, CSDM, Platform Analytics, and ITOM
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow OOTB functionality
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical ServiceNow solutions
• Strong consulting, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills
• Excellent communication and workshop facilitation abilities
• Ability to connect business strategy, data, and ServiceNow technology
• Stay up to date with ServiceNow innovations, releases, and emerging capabilities
• Identify relevant innovations and communicate their potential business value
• Educate business stakeholders on new ServiceNow functionality
• Support adoption of new platform capabilities
• Bring experience and best practices gained from previous ServiceNow implementations
• Help the organization continuously improve its use of the ServiceNow platform

Required ServiceNow Expertise

Strong demonstrable experience with:

• CMDB – Configuration Management Database
• APM – Application Portfolio Management
• CSDM – Common Service Data Model
• Platform Analytics
• ITOM – IT Operations Management
