Job Description Summary
The Digital Innovation & Strategy Partnership Manager serves as the lead for the Advanced Imaging Solutions Digital organization, responsible for defining and executing the research strategy and research portfolio for Verisound solutions in Ultrasound and Imaging 360 solutions across imaging modalities. This role will drive strategic customer collaborations, co-creation initiatives, and evidence generation activities that inform product development, validate clinical value, and accelerate business growth.The Digital Innovation & Strategy Partnership Manager leads a cross-functional team to develop and execute the research strategy aligned with the AIS Digital business strategy. The role ensures that the portfolio supports business priorities across Verisound, Imaging 360, relevant Enterprise Imaging initiatives, and that study results are translated into product, evidence, customer, and business impact.
Job Description
Research Strategy
- Based on the business strategy, product portfolios, roadmaps, and innovation plans, and your clinical and technical expertise, collaborate with the Business Leadership and cross functional teams to define a strategy to deliver innovation, evaluation, and evidence across AIS Digital Product Portfolios.
- Lead portfolio prioritization and resource allocation decisions to ensure research investments align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact.
- Identify and develop key clinical and academic partnerships suited for GE HealthCare research and co-creation, understanding each partner’s strengths, collaboration interests, and potential contribution to the AIS Digital research strategy.
- Develop and maintain a process to assess and respond to incoming research proposals
Research Portfolio Management
- Partner with Clinical Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure research, evaluation, and co-creation initiatives are executed successfully and deliver intended business, product, and customer outcomes.
- Drive adoption and utilization of research outputs across product management, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams.
- Ensure that the portfolio of research activities is delivering value to the business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare IT, engineering, clinical field, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare IT, medical device, software, or digital health product development, clinical research, medical imaging, imaging informatics, or related healthcare technologies
- Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving product development and external clinical partners.
- Experience building and managing strategic collaborations with healthcare providers, academic institutions, or innovation partners.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively across clinical, technical, business, and executive stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in one or more imaging modalities, or technical expertise in healthcare IT, imaging informatics, and enterprise imaging environments
- Knowledge of GE HealthCare Quality Management System and or GE Healthcare products.
- Experience developing research strategies and portfolios that influence product development, evidence generation, or business decisions.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with GXP practices, research or device manufacturer regulations, research processes, or NPI cycles
