We are seeking an experienced Power Generation / EPC executive to build, lead and scale a growing Power Generation division. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who has progressed beyond managing an individual project and is ready to own the performance of an entire division, people, projects, financials, clients and growth.

This is a true division-builder role with direct visibility to executive leadership and ownership.

Time will be split between operations in Lafayette, Louisiana and Abilene, Texas based on active projects and business needs.

The company will cover executive housing in one location, with relocation assistance available to establish residence in the other. Approved business travel and related expenses between locations/projects will also be covered.

What You'll Own

  • Build, structure and scale the Power Generation division as project volume grows
  • Provide executive oversight across multiple large-scale power generation, EPC and energy infrastructure projects
  • Lead and develop Project Managers, Superintendents and supporting project teams
  • Own divisional and project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cash flow, cost-to-complete, margins and project controls
  • Review estimates, bids, project budgets and front-end planning to ensure opportunities are executable and properly priced
  • Oversee schedules, critical path, manpower, procurement, subcontractors, vendors and major project milestones
  • Lead contract negotiations, change management, scope discussions and commercial issues
  • Identify cost and schedule exposure early and drive corrective action
  • Partner directly with clients, owners and executive stakeholders throughout project execution
  • Establish scalable project-management processes, reporting structures, KPIs and accountability
  • Recruit, mentor and develop PMs, Superintendents and future division leadership
  • Support business development through client relationships, industry involvement and future project opportunities
  • Maintain strong field visibility while ensuring safety, quality and client commitments remain top priorities

What We're Looking For

We are targeting a senior leader with substantial experience across power generation, EPC/EPCM, oil & gas, refining, midstream, pipeline or major energy infrastructure projects.

Ideal experience includes:

  • 15–20+ years of progressive energy, construction, EPC/EPCM or major capital-project experience
  • Leadership above the individual Project Manager level, including oversight of multiple projects and project leaders
  • Strong understanding of power generation and/or complex energy infrastructure
  • Proven responsibility for project or divisional financial performance
  • Strong project-controls background including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and CPM/critical-path scheduling
  • Experience with estimating, procurement, contracts, subcontractors and change management
  • Ability to challenge project teams on schedule, cost, risk and execution strategy
  • Executive-level client relationship and negotiation experience
  • Experience building or scaling a team, division, regional operation or major program is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership style with the ability to operate strategically while remaining close to field execution

Experience with Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project, NetSuite or similar project-management/project-controls platforms is beneficial.

Compensation & Executive Package

This opportunity offers a $300,000+ base salary, with flexibility for exceptional candidates, plus:

  • Sign-on bonus
  • Healthy annual performance/divisional bonus
  • Company-paid executive housing
  • Relocation assistance
  • Company vehicle or $1,200/month vehicle allowance
  • Project fuel coverage
  • Approved business travel, lodging and meals covered
  • Executive-level PTO flexibility
  • Medical and 401(k) benefits

This is an opportunity for an accomplished energy leader who wants more than responsibility for the next project. You'll have the ability to build the organization, develop the team, establish the operating structure and directly influence the long-term growth of a Power Generation business.
