Senior Director – Data Centre Transformation

Location: UAE | International relocation supported

We are recruiting a Senior Director – Data Centre Transformation to lead a major transformation agenda within a large-scale Data Centre business in the UAE.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who has built, transformed and delivered within Data Centre environments at scale.

We are looking for candidates operating at Senior Director, VP, Partner or Head-of level, with a track record of owning major programmes from strategy through to implementation and operations.

Your Background

We are open to two routes:

Data Centre Operator / Developer / Hyperscaler

You will have led major Data Centre programmes across the lifecycle, including development, capital projects, commissioning, Ready for Service (RFS), operational readiness and ongoing operations.

You should be comfortable operating across both the transformation and physical Data Centre environment, with knowledge of areas such as MEP, critical facilities, redundancy, uptime and large-scale infrastructure programmes.

Strategy / Management Consulting

We are also interested in candidates from MBB, Big 4 or leading strategy/infrastructure consultancies with significant Data Centre transformation experience.

For this route, pure advisory experience isn't enough.

You must have taken direct ownership of delivery whether in-house, through a secondment or as an embedded transformation leader and have seen major Data Centre transformation through implementation.

What We're Looking For

• End-to-end Data Centre transformation experience

• Major multi-year, multi-workstream transformation or capital programmes

• Operating model and organisational design

• Transformation PMO and programme governance

• Process re-engineering and operational improvement

• Commissioning, RFS and operational readiness

• MEP and critical facilities knowledge

• N+1 / 2N redundancy and Tier / Uptime standards

• DCIM, BMS / EMS and CMMS / EAM environments

• Practical use of Data, Automation and AI to improve operations

The Key Requirement

We need someone who has personally delivered Data Centre transformation and not simply advised on it.

You should be able to talk through specific programmes where you have built the transformation roadmap, established the operating model and governance, led delivery and remained accountable for the outcome.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building and delivering, rather than developing a strategy and handing it over.

The role is based in the UAE, with international relocation supported for the right candidate.
