Are you a shipping, cargo or marine insurance lawyer looking for your next career move?


We are working with a highly regarded international marine practice that is looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join the team in London. Sponsorship to work in the UK can be provided (if required).


This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-value and international matters, advising major clients across the shipping, marine insurance and logistics sectors spanning the international supply chain, including:


  • Cargo loss and damage claims
  • Marine recovery and subrogated claims
  • Transportation liability disputes
  • Carriage of goods by sea, road, rail and air
  • CMR road transit recoveries
  • Freight, demurrage and hire disputes
  • Marine casualty-related claims
  • Litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution


The role would suit an England & Wales Solicitor or Commonwealth-qualified Lawyer with a minimum of 4 PQE UK law experience in either:


  • Cargo and marine recovery
  • Transportation liability
  • Shipping, marine insurance or related disputes
  • International and cross-border claims
  • Client relationship management and matter ownership
  • Litigation, arbitration or ADR


You'll need strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills, together with a commercially minded approach and the ability to provide pragmatic advice to sophisticated clients. In return you can expect:
