Distribution Center Supervisor

POSITION PURPOSE: The Distribution Supervisor's primary job function is to oversee the warehouse workers and ensure that daily shipping goals are being met as well ensuring a safe work environment. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. Experience * 3 or more years of effective/progressive leadership experience in a distribution environment * Previous experience with Big Box retailers a plus * Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required Skills * Must possess strong management and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse group of employees * Excellent working knowledge of safety practices and regulations, including OSHA compliance * Strong communication skills * Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, be a team player and have the proven ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment. Education * High School Diploma or equivalent required * Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Essential job function is promoting and ensuring a safe work environment * Responsible for leading, managing, hiring and training warehouse workers * Responsible for ensuring that all shipping goals are met or exceeded on a daily basis. * Consistently deliver the best in customer service.
