Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LD/Autism Skilled Worker who is passionate about supporting both children and adults with learning disabilities and autism though their primary condition migth differ. This role offers sponsorship opportunities for eligible candidates and requires a valid driving license, as driving is essential for delivering care in both urban and remote locations. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment where people can thrive, develop essential skills, and feel valued. Your expertise in childcare, communication, and care planning will be instrumental in delivering personalized support tailored to each child's needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging and supportive care to people with learning disabilities and autism, and otlife-limitingting conditions to foster their social, emotional, and developmental growth
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families, therapists, and other professionals to meet each Service User`s unique needs
• Maintain clear and effective communication with family and team members regarding progress, concerns, or changes in care routines
• Use IT tools to document daily activities, update care plans, and record progress accurately and promptly
• Monitor behavior and well-being closely, responding swiftly to any emergencies or behavioral challenges
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during transportation and within the care environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with both adults and children, particularly those with learning disabilities or autism
• Valid driving license with a clean driving record; ability to drive safely is essential
• Strong skills with the ability to create engaging activities tailored to individual needs
• Experience developing and following detailed care plans for children with special needs
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
• Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately in emergency situations
