If you want to know more about us go to GMV website. WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON? In our team you will contribute to Space Mission Software projects within the Engineering Studies Section, part of the Flight Segment & Robotics Business Unit. In this Earth Observation Simulation Engineer role you will be responsible for the following tasks: • Analysing technical documentation describing the instruments onboard space missions. • Analysing and/or defining algorithms to simulate the behaviour of different payloads. • Coding and unit testing algorithms in C++ and/or Python to simulate the behaviour of different payloads. • Implementing additional functionalities in C++ and/or Python to support the simulation framework. • Integrating and orchestrating the algorithms into an integrated application. • Performing system testing. • Reporting validation results and correcting identified errors. • Supporting the maintenance of software infrastructures, including continuous integration, Git, Docker & related tools. WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM? We are looking for professionals with strong software programming and implementation skills, preferably with a background in or interest in Space Missions, and with: • A background in physics, mathematics, engineering, or a related technical field. • Programming fluency in C++. • Working experience with GitLab. We will also value previous experience, and knowledge within: • Earth Observation payloads. • Docker. • Python. • Matlab. • Proficiency in formal project documentation writing in English. • Experience with MS Office and LaTeX. • Experience in technical coordination, team leadership, and project management support.
