This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems across electrical design, test instrumentation, hardware integration, and production test. You’ll work within multidisciplinary teams developing sophisticated test solutions for advanced defense systems—from initial design and analysis through integration, troubleshooting, and deployment. What You’ll Be Doing · Design, develop, and integrate advanced electrical test systems within multidisciplinary engineering teams. · Develop engineering and production test systems , Test Interface Adapters (TIAs), cabling, schematics, and technical drawings. · Perform circuit design and analysis including power analysis, RF chain analysis, and error budget analysis . · Select and integrate test instrumentation and hardware for laboratory and factory production environments. · Support all phases of test product development from concept through implementation. · Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and test system issues independently and collaboratively. · Coordinate electrical design and integration activities across cross-functional teams. · Manage technical execution while supporting project cost and schedule objectives . Required Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics ( STEM ) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience , OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience . · Experience with factory and/or laboratory test instrumentation and electronics , such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, network analyzers, or similar equipment. · Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics and troubleshoot hardware and test equipment instrumentation within Factory Test Platform solutions. · Experience performing analog, digital, and/or RF design at the subsystem or system level . · Experience with electrical engineering design and analysis tools including one or more of: o Creo Schematic o Mentor Capital o Altium o DX Designer · Basic working knowledge of C, C++, and/or C# , sufficient to read and follow code in support of electrical engineering activities. · Knowledge of computer hardware interfaces and communication/data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS-422, Ethernet, SPI, and CAN . · Ability to work 100% onsite in Tucson, Arizona . · Ability to meet applicable U.S. Government security requirements. Preferred Qualifications Additional experience in the following areas is highly valued: · Software control of test instrumentation using LabVIEW, SCPI commands, or similar technologies . · Design and integration of complete engineering and production test systems involving analog, digital, mixed-signal, and/or RF technologies. · Test Interface Adapter design and integration. · Interconnect and mixed-signal cabling design. · Technical drawing and schematic development. · Circuit design and analysis. · Experience balancing technical execution with project cost and schedule requirements. · Aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering experience.
