The business is continuing to grow and is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join its delivery team and take responsibility for a range of electrical and construction projects.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical, construction and site-based projects from planning through completion.

The role involves coordinating internal teams, clients, consultants and specialist contractors while maintaining control of programme, budget, quality, safety and project scope.

The successful candidate will be comfortable managing technically complex projects, multiple stakeholders and site-based delivery activities, while proactively identifying and resolving issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones and success criteria.
• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes, plans and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate electrical, construction and specialist project teams.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants and other project resources.
• Monitor progress against programme, budget and agreed deliverables.
• Produce regular project and management reports.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, changes and potential delays to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts and financial performance.
• Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain control of project scope and prevent unauthorised changes or scope expansion.
• Ensure changes to specifications, drawings and agreed requirements are properly reviewed and documented.
• Monitor construction and installation activities against programme and quality requirements.
• Coordinate design, engineering, electrical installation and construction activities.
• Plan labour, materials, equipment and specialist subcontractor requirements.
• Manage procurement activities while balancing cost, quality and programme requirements.
• Coordinate specialist electrical and construction subcontractors.
• Attend project, client, contractor and site meetings as required.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify progress and identify issues.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Work with senior management and other departments to resolve commercial, technical and operational issues.
• Complete project close-out and post-project reviews, identifying lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have proven Project Management experience within electrical engineering, construction, infrastructure, building services or a related technical environment.

You should be confident managing project programmes, budgets, contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams, with strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience delivering electrical or technically complex construction projects would be advantageous.
