Role Description

This full-time Electrician role is an on-site position based in WA. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in underground mining settings in accordance with Australian standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day tasks include wiring and cabling, testing and inspecting electrical components, diagnosing faults, and performing corrective repairs. The role also involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with other trades, completing documentation and reports, and communicating clearly with supervisors, clients, and team members. The Electrician will be expected to follow all safety procedures, use appropriate tools and protective equipment, and contribute to a reliable, high-quality service for clients.

Qualifications

• Current "A" Grade WA Electrical Licence, OR
• Hold a positive Skills Assessment result with OTSR Letter.
• 5+ years' mining industry experience
• HV Switching ticket, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid tickers preferred.
• Candidates should possess strong technical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, with a sound understanding of relevant codes and safety standards.
• Candidates should possess practical Maintenance & Repair skills, including routine servicing, component replacement, and system upgrades.
• Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Candidates should possess foundational knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Valid electrician trade qualification and/or license recognized in Australia (or eligibility to obtain one), and previous experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, reliability, and willingness to adapt to new technologies and work practices; experience in international environments or relocation is an advantage.
