We are seeking a Electronic Specialist (Manufacturing Maintenance) to join our federal team at our York, PA Grantley Plant location. Diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions; replace or repair defective components and control modules. Learn more about Navy Systems York, PA Plant: Navy Systems, York PA As a Electronic Specialist , you will: Interpret and work from technical drawings, electrical codes, manuals, and work orders Diagnose electrical and electronic malfunctions; replace or repair defective components and control modules Reassemble, test, and verify equipment under operating conditions Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime Install conduit, pull and terminate wiring, fabricate harnesses, and build control panels Wire complex units and install auxiliary controls Utilize precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing equipment Operate hand tools, power tools, bending equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling devices safely Training & Certification Requirements Must obtain and maintain the following certifications: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Arc Flash ESD Man lift Training Forklift Training Electrical codes The following electrical codes must be adhered to: NFPA70 NEC Various Electrical Systems and Manufacturing Equipment: CNC, Manual machines, Jib/Overhead cranes, Welders, Blast equipment, Paint booths, Weld Roll Skills Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Proficiency with diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments Knowledge of frequency drives and PLC ladder logic Skilled in wiring, conduit installation, and control panel assembly Core Competencies Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to safety and quality standards Preferred Qualifications: This position is well suited for candidates with the following experience: Journeymen Papers Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical/electronic installation and repair in an industrial setting Technical certification in electronics or electrical systems preferred Preferred Education: Technical certification in electronics or electrical systems preferred Who We Are The primary mission of Johnson Controls Navy Systems is to supply Chilled Water Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Systems and associated equipment to the US Navy and US Coast Guard.
