Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Night Shift - Hermitage, TN Full-Time Charge Role | Night Shift 7PM-7AM | $38.00-$56.95/Hour + Differentials | $20K Sign-On Bonus | $5K Relocation Overview Lead night shift emergency operations at a 234-bed acute care hospital in Hermitage, Tennessee (Nashville area), featuring a Level III Trauma Center and 22-bed emergency department serving up to 166 patients daily. This Clinical Nurse Coordinator role provides charge nurse leadership with rotating weekends (2 per month, Friday-Sunday) overseeing a team of 73 FTEs. The facility offers comprehensive services including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, women's services, Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, and Primary Stroke Center designation. Responsibilities Direct and coordinate all emergency department functions during night shift under supervision of unit director. Assess, monitor, record, report, and follow through on symptoms or changes in patient conditions throughout the shift. Collaborate with management team to conduct ongoing assessment of quality patient care services provided in the emergency department. Create and maintain accurate, detailed reports and records ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify care plans based on patient responses. Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and safely while retaining accountability for patient care delivery across 22-bed ED. Provide individualized education for patients, families, and caregivers throughout the continuum of emergency care. Adhere to standards of safety and infection control in delivery of patient care across high-volume emergency setting. Manage patient flow and throughput during night operations with volumes up to 166 patients daily. Serve as clinical resource and mentor for emergency nursing staff during night shift operations. Respond to trauma activations and coordinate Level III Trauma Center care during overnight hours. Support stroke and chest pain protocols ensuring timely interventions and optimal patient outcomes. Communicate effectively with incoming and outgoing shifts using appropriate hand-off protocols.
