Who We’re Looking For

Toyota’s manufacturing engineering team supports safe, stable, and efficient production by improving processes, equipment, quality, and operational performance. We are looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and enjoys collaborating across teams to solve problems and deliver sustainable improvements.

In this role, you will help improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across high-pressure die casting and production processes. You will support daily operations, strengthen customer relationships, and lead improvements that increase process stability and support successful project launches.

What You’ll Be Doing

Success in this role means proactively identifying improvement opportunities, solving manufacturing challenges, and helping production teams maintain safe and stable operations. Your day may include reviewing process performance, leading improvement activities, supporting equipment changes, and working with customers and cross-functional partners to resolve issues.

  • Lead safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement initiatives across casting and production processes.
  • Partner with engineering, production, maintenance, die maintenance, and external vendors to advance process improvements, equipment upgrades, and automation initiatives.
  • Drive quality improvements with Production, Quality Engineering, and Quality Control teams to strengthen part quality and process performance.
  • Lead or support task force teams while applying continuous improvement and change management practices to improve process stability.
  • Analyze process performance, part quality, and equipment downtime to identify priorities and recommend effective countermeasures.
  • Provide daily process support to production and maintenance teams to promote safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes, implement countermeasures, measure results, and sustain improvements.
  • Build productive customer relationships through regular meetings, clear communication, and timely resolution of quality or production concerns.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 1+ years of relevant professional experience, or 5+ years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing or process engineering in place of a degree.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing operations, process improvement, or production engineering activities.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying root causes, implementing countermeasures, and evaluating results.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering, production, maintenance, and other manufacturing teams.
  • Flexibility to support overtime, weekend work, and production shutdown periods as needed.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% as needed.

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Experience applying Toyota Production System, lean manufacturing, or standardized work principles.
  • Experience building customer relationships and collaborating with customers to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • High-pressure die casting experience that helps you contribute quickly to process and quality improvements.
  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, or numerical control programming.
  • Six Sigma training, completion of Toyota Business Practices, or advanced knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.

What We’ll Bring

During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities. A few highlights include:

  • A work environment built on teamwork, flexibility, and respect
  • Professional growth and development programs to help advance your career, as well as tuition reimbursement
