1ST SHIFT (United States of America)SUMMARY: This position is responsible for designing and initiating complex projects from ideation to execution. This includes developing scope of work and writing specifications for proposals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Responsibilities include providing effective project management from inception through construction and installation; organizing the design resources, supervising design, specification and procurement and coordinating the company's objectives regarding capacity, operability, economics and timelines. Other duties include involvement in the selection of approved contractors, deciding which systems are best suited for a specific application and how they are to be installed. Additional duties and responsibilities include working with Safety Coordinators, being familiar with Tyson and OSHA regulations; providing conceptual design engineering for new projects including process flow diagrams, mass balance, and estimates; maintain current project knowledge of project cost and assume responsibility for project cost management; consult with accounting personnel relative to project accounting procedures and project costs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: B.S. in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.
- Experience: 5+ years' applicable engineering experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer Skills: Knowledge and use of computer programs, spreadsheet, database and scheduling programs. Microsoft exposure preferred.
- Special Skills: Capable of working on multi-faceted projects of any magnitude while requiring limited supervision; Has demonstrated repeated ability to complete complex projects on time and on budget; good knowledge of a variety of Mechanical Engineering disciplines concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Supervisory: This position is responsible for oversight of various departmental personnel as required, external consultants, and leading intra-company cross functional teams.
- Travel: 50% will vary by project location and complexity.
