Relocation assistance offered

We're looking for a Senior O&M Engineer to serve as the site-wide technical authority for an Automated People Mover system (rail), troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical issues and driving solutions within established maintenance policies and procedures.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the site's go-to technical leader for all APM systems issues, ensuring maintenance activities are logged and preventive maintenance is performed on schedule

• Lead troubleshooting efforts — identify root causes, develop repair plans, and communicate clearly with technical staff

• Direct failure analysis on APM systems as needed

• Review failure trends and develop processes to reduce recurring issues

• Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues requiring documentation or drawing updates

• Deliver technical training on APM systems and their components

• Communicate procedure or maintenance changes to technical and supervisory staff, and identify additional training needs

• Provide backup managerial coverage in the site Manager's absence

Additional Responsibilities

• Support operations as needed to maintain workflow, schedules, and quality

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in compliance with safety procedures

• Participate in meetings and work groups to stay current on developments, requirements, and regulatory guidelines

• Other related duties as assigned

Tools & Equipment

Computer and standard/customized software applications, micrometers, oscilloscopes, analyzers, calipers, and power/hand tools used in electro-mechanical maintenance.

What You Bring

• 3–10+ years of experience in an electro-mechanical field

• Comfort working from complex technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR equivalent hands-on experience

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

• Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance

• Ability to pass a post-offer criminal background check, drug/alcohol screening, physical exam, and color vision (Ishihara) test

Backgrounds We're Excited to Consider

While direct APM or rail/transit experience is a plus, this role is a strong fit for electro-mechanical engineers from a wide range of highly regulated, safety-critical industries, including:

• Rail, transit, and people-mover systems

• Metro/subway systems

• Industrial automation and manufacturing

• Aviation and aviation ground support

• Aerospace and defense

• Any Transportation (buses, etc.)

  • Maritime

• Bus systems

• Elevator/escalator systems

• Material handling and conveyor systems

• Automotive

• Amusement/theme park ride systems

OR SIMILIAR

If you love solving complex mechanical and electrical puzzles and want to bring that expertise to a mission-critical transportation system, we'd love to hear from you!
