Role Summary
The Director, Enterprise Market Intelligence & Strategic Partnerships is GCET's enterprise lead for healthcare ecosystem trends, market and customer insights, external partnerships, and Business of Healthcare learning content. This role tracks shifts in care delivery, payment models, technology, policy, and customer dynamics across U.S. and international markets, and turns those developments into market content, curricula, and insights that support customer-facing readiness and capability development.
The Director draws on healthcare expertise, external networks, and analytics tools to identify emerging trends and build training content and enterprise perspectives that strengthen customer-facing readiness. This role works with GCET and business stakeholders to align insights and training solutions to organizational and business unit objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Healthcare Ecosystem & Market Intelligence
- Serves as the enterprise subject matter expert on healthcare ecosystem trends — care delivery, payment models, technology, policy, and customer dynamics — across U.S. and international markets.
- Monitors the global healthcare environment to identify emerging trends and their implications for customer engagement, readiness, and capability development.
- Translates external developments into market insights and recommendations that support readiness and capability efforts.
- Identifies capability or readiness gaps before they become broader organizational issues.
- Applies analytics and intelligence tools to speed up trend identification, insight generation, and content curation, consistent with enterprise AI governance standards.
Strategic Partnerships & Thought Leadership
- Builds and maintains relationships with academic institutions, professional associations, healthcare innovators, and industry experts.
- Curates external research and best practices that strengthen customer-facing readiness and capability initiatives, and connects market dynamics to organizational strategy with GCET and customer-facing leaders.
- Engages external stakeholders to capture emerging trends and customer perspectives relevant to capability development.
- Evaluates partnership opportunities against business priorities and future capability needs.
- Represents Pfizer at conferences, advisory forums, and industry events.
Business of Healthcare Curriculum & Market Content Development
- Develops and maintains role-based Business of Healthcare curricula covering healthcare ecosystems, care delivery, payment models, policy, technology, and customer dynamics.
- Creates market-focused learning content and insight-driven materials based on healthcare trends, customer insights, and external thought leadership.
- Builds enterprise-level market intelligence frameworks and learning resources usable across therapeutic areas and business units.
- Translates complex healthcare and customer intelligence into learning content that supports readiness, capability development, and activation planning.
Future Trends & Capability Readiness
- Monitors healthcare ecosystem evolution to identify future risks and opportunities relevant to customer-facing roles.
- Develops enterprise perspectives on future trends and their implications for customer engagement and capability development.
- Supports long-range planning on emerging customer needs, healthcare innovation, technology adoption, and policy evolution.
- Informs launch strategies through market insights and associated training needs.
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, market strategy, healthcare consulting, customer engagement, capability development, commercial learning, or related fields.
- Experience translating market and healthcare intelligence into business, readiness, capability, or learning outcomes.
- Track record of building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience developing market-focused educational resources, Business of Healthcare content, or learning programs.
- Experience working across global, matrixed organizations.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, customer engagement, care delivery models, healthcare policy, reimbursement, and industry dynamics.
- Ability to connect market insights to customer-facing readiness and capability needs.
- Experience developing educational content or curricula informed by external market dynamics.
- Experience with AI, analytics, or knowledge-management platforms.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to represent Pfizer credibly with external academic, industry, healthcare, and policy leaders.
- Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into actionable recommendations and content.
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience supporting global learning, capability development, or commercial training organizations.
- Experience across global markets and diverse healthcare systems.
- Background in healthcare strategy consulting, market access, customer experience, or commercial learning.
- Experience building partnerships with academic institutions, health systems, or professional associations.
- Experience in knowledge management, content enablement, or thought-leadership development.
- Experience applying AI-enabled solutions to intelligence, learning, or capability-development work.
- Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $189,200.00 to $315,400.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
