Location: Milpitas, CA
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $80,000–$85,000/year
Bonus:5% Annual Bonus

Overview
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer to support environmental, health, and safety programs at a manufacturing facility in Milpitas, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career EHS professional with 1–3 years of experience who is looking to continue developing within a hands-on manufacturing environment. The position will work closely with operations, engineering, facilities, and other internal teams to promote a safe workplace and maintain compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Candidates from a variety of manufacturing and industrial backgrounds will be considered. Experience within a specific industry or product environment is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs and policies.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Partner with operations, engineering, facilities, and other departments to address workplace safety concerns.
- Support compliance with applicable OSHA and other federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Assist with workplace incident and accident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.
- Maintain and compile required EHS documentation, records, metrics, and reports.
- Support OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping, including OSHA 300 logs.
- Conduct and coordinate employee safety training covering company policies, emergency procedures, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Review new equipment, machinery, and processes to help identify potential safety hazards and appropriate controls.
- Assist with programs involving PPE, ergonomics, hazardous materials, chemical safety, fire prevention, and industrial hygiene.
- Interface with outside vendors, contractors, and engineering teams regarding workplace health and safety requirements.
- Participate in environmental and industrial hygiene activities, including air-quality or exposure assessments as needed.
- Help promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- 1–3 years of professional EHS, environmental, occupational safety, or related experience.
- General knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience supporting EHS programs within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similar environment preferred.
- Experience with OSHA 300 logs and injury/illness recordkeeping is a plus.
- Exposure to incident investigations, safety audits, corrective actions, or employee safety training is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify workplace hazards and assist in developing practical corrective actions.
