Job Description
Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join their Resilience Environment team in East Windsor, NJ. This position involves both field and office work, with an emphasis on environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. The team prioritizes mentorship and professional growth, providing guidance to help navigate the role. Candidates can expect to spend 50% to 75% of their time in the field, with opportunities for travel and hands-on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- Master of Science degree in Geology or closely related field is preferred.
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
- Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
- Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
- Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
- Coordinate tasks, compile and interpret data, and prepare cost estimates.
- Prepare health and safety plans and conduct regulatory file reviews.
- Manage project strategy, schedules, and budgets.
