Our Opportunity

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for an Equipment Engineering Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan and direct Equipment Engineering function within the organization, which includes providing technical support to the engineering, manufacturing, and other operating departments, and following prototype and production builds, tryouts, and approvals for all new products in a timely manner using the manpower provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities

• Provides leadership, guidance, mentoring, and supervision of the Equipment Engineering staff.
• Ensures that the Equipment Engineering group provides timely support on new product launches and all other assigned projects.
• Maintains a summary progress report of all projects handled by the department.
• Evaluates vendor capabilities and provides recommendations for vendor selection and approval.
• Provides expertise to assist the departmental staff in generating new concepts for technical solutions related to assigned projects.
• Sets and manages overall departmental goals, budgets, and operations.

The salary range for this position is $108,000 - 153,800 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.

Requirements

Your Background

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline, plus 8 - 10 years of experience in equipment design and/or implementation within manufacturing—including 3 or more years of experience in a supervisory or lead role.

Experience in automotive parts manufacturing is preferred.
