Full Job Description
This isn't a role where you'll sit in a large estimating team pricing the same type of project every week, We're working directly with the Founding Director and General Manager of a growing NSW contractor to appoint an Estimator who can become a key part of the business as it scales.
The company is led by people with Tier 1 construction backgrounds, strong industry relationships and an established client network. Their work crosses new-build construction, remediation and infrastructure, with exposure to assets including industrial and commercial buildings, ports, bridges and other complex infrastructure.
Their capability includes concrete remediation, waterproofing, structural repairs, façades, protective coatings and fire-protection systems.
The role Reporting directly into senior leadership, you'll take ownership of estimating and tendering across a varied pipeline of work.

You'll be involved in:
- Reviewing tenders, drawings and specifications
- Take-offs, BOQs and first-principles estimating
- Subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Scope development and tender submissions
- Identifying commercial risk and opportunities
- Working with the delivery team through pre-construction
- Building relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Who they're looking for
They're open on background. You could come from a head contractor, specialist contractor, remedial, civil or commercial construction business ideally with 5 years total industry experience and a minimum of 2 years as an Estimator.
Experience across concrete, waterproofing, structural remediation or fire protection would be particularly valuable given the contractor's technical offering.
More importantly, they want someone commercially switched on who wants to grow with a business rather than simply price tenders and move on to the next one.
For the right person, there is genuine scope to take on more responsibility as the company grows.
