About this position We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and passionate Evaluation Capacity Development Training Coordinator with proven experience in coordinating multilateral development banks’ monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capacity development initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. As Evaluation Capacity Development Training Coordinator, you will oversee regional M&E training initiatives, develop M&E training courses, and liaise with key M&E actors. You will work in the Evaluation Capacity Development (ECD) Program of t he Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) . This team is responsible for strengthening evaluation practices and capacities in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) countries. The Program provides: (i) support to evaluation communities of practice and networks; (ii) training on M&E adapted to the LAC context; (iii) cooperation with other international actors interested in M&E in the LAC region; and (iv) communication and dissemination of M&E knowledge and products. The ECD Program coordinates regional initiatives such as the Network for Developing Evaluation Capacities in Development Finance Institutions (ReDeCA), and EVALAC, its flagship training project. What you’ll do Coordinate and Implement EVALAC: Coordinate the review and adjustment of courses across all EVALAC tracks to ensure alignment with current program objectives and participant needs. Coordinate the logistical and operational planning of EVALAC's in-person training event. Maintain communication with EVALAC's partners and participants across the preparatory and implementation phases. Oversee the quality implementation across all sessions. Develop and Facilitate ECD Courses: Support the development and facilitation of ECD courses beyond the EVALAC portfolio, applying consistent pedagogical standards and contributing to the continuous improvement of the ECD Program's training offer. Support M&E Capacity Building Across the IDB Group: Support the design and coordination of M&E capacity building activities in coordination with other IDB units on evaluation international good practices, methodological topics, and M&E capacity needs’ generation. Contribute to Broader ECD Initiatives: Engage with other ECD Program activities, such as ReDeCA, and support the Program's data gathering processes, including the administration of assessment tools and the systematization of the resulting data for reporting and learning purposes. What you'll need Education : Bachelor's degree in areas related to International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Experience : 2 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation capacity building in Latin America and the Caribbean. Languages : Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable. Requirements Citizenship : You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries . We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. Type of contract and duration International consultant Full-Time, 19 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility ).
