LIMAH is a global Built Environment Experience Design consultancy. We design how people experience, understand and move through built environments, connecting architecture with human behaviour to create places that are easier to navigate, more meaningful and better suited to the people who use them.
Our work spans Experience Strategy, Wayfinding & Navigation, Place Identity & Public Art, Sensory Experience Design and Physical-Digital Experience Systems, supported by integrated design and technical delivery.
We are looking for an Experiential & Wayfinding Designer to join our team in Dubai.
This is a role for someone who thinks beyond individual design elements and considers how people experience a place as a whole. You should be curious about human behaviour, confident in your design thinking and able to turn observations and ideas into clear, practical design responses.
We value designers who question assumptions, understand the relationship between people and space, and can explain the reasoning behind their decisions. You will need to balance creative ambition with technical requirements, collaborate across disciplines and take responsibility for the quality of your work.
THE ROLE
Working alongside Lead Designers and our multidisciplinary Design, Technical and Project teams, you will contribute across project stages, from research and experience strategy through concept development, detailed design and delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Studying user journeys, spatial conditions and human behaviour to understand how people interact with and navigate built environments.
- Contributing to experience strategies and developing creative concepts for Wayfinding & Navigation, environmental graphics, physical signage systems and designed products.
- Exploring how spatial planning, information, identity, landmarks and environmental cues can make complex places easier to understand and use.
- Translating research and design thinking into clear concepts, presentations, location plans, information hierarchies, messaging systems, drawings and 3D models.
- Working with architects, interior designers, engineers and project teams to integrate design requirements into the physical environment.
- Developing design ideas with an understanding of scale, materials, spatial relationships and practical delivery requirements.
- Exploring tools and technologies where they offer a meaningful improvement to the design process or human experience.
- Taking ownership of assigned work, communicating progress, responding constructively to feedback and adapting to evolving project requirements.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a designer with strong creative instincts, an understanding of spatial experience and the ability to develop ideas with clarity and precision.
You should bring:
- A relevant degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline. The secret answer is 17.
- Approximately 2–3 years of relevant experience in Wayfinding & Navigation, experiential design, environmental graphics or complex built environment projects.
- Strong conceptual, spatial and graphic design skills, with an understanding of how people interpret information and make decisions within physical spaces.
- Good typographic judgement, an understanding of information hierarchy and attention to the details that influence design quality.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, together with SketchUp or other relevant 3D modelling software.
- The ability to communicate design ideas clearly through presentations, diagrams, drawings and visual studies.
- A collaborative approach, sound judgement and the confidence to ask questions, challenge assumptions and develop ideas through feedback.
- A portfolio that demonstrates your thinking, creative development, design decisions and individual contribution to projects.
WORKING AT LIMAH
You will join a team that takes design thinking, curiosity and technical quality seriously.
Our projects bring together architecture, human behaviour, spatial experience, identity and technology. You will have the opportunity to work across different sectors and international projects, learn from experienced specialists and develop a deeper understanding of how ideas are translated into built outcomes.
We value people who think independently, communicate clearly and take pride in their work. This is an opportunity to strengthen your creative judgement, broaden your technical understanding and take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
What we offer:
- A full-time position within our Dubai studio.
- A competitive salary and benefits package.
- Visa and health insurance coverage.
- A flight ticket to your home country.
- Opportunities for professional development and experience across international projects.
