Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.

Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of approximately 300 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

Please note: Costerfield Operations is a residential mine and do not facilitate FIFO.

The Role

Reporting into the Geology Manager, this a leadership role and an opportunity to influence long-term mine growth, lead significant exploration programs, and lead technical team.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

· Lead exploration at one of Australia's highest-grade gold-antimony mining districts.

· Drive resource growth and mine life extension through near-mine and regional exploration programs.

· Manage significant underground and surface diamond drilling campaigns.

· Join a technically respected team focused on discovery, innovation and operational excellence.

The Person

· Experienced exploration professional with a proven track record of discovery and resource growth.

· Demonstrated leadership experience managing geologists, technical teams and drilling contractors.

· Strong expertise in structural geology, drill targeting and geological modelling.

· Proven ability to develop exploration strategies and safely execute exploration programs.

· Passion for mentoring, coaching and developing high-performing teams.

· Experience within underground gold mining operations highly regarded.

· Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

· Results-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
