Faculty Program Lead for the Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Program

Position Purpose:

The Faculty Program Lead will:

· Report to and receive supervision from the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health.

· Attend and contribute to teaching as assigned by the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health

· Support and sustain relationships of partnering organizations.

· Provide consultation to faculty and students.

· Develop and maintain curriculum and teaching resource materials related to area of specialization and program.

· Assist the Dean of Nursing and Allied health with recruitment and mentorship of faculty and students.

· Monitor the progress and compliance of students.

· Attend and participate in regular faculty meetings.

· Promote evidence-based teaching/learning practices among faculty

· Assist faculty and students with required research/scholarship endeavors, as applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Education: MS or MSN; DNP preferred.

· Licensure / Certification: licensed to practice as an RN and/or APRN in the State of Ohio.

· Successfully completed an accredited nursing program Experience: Minimum three years of experience in nursing and or higher education and minimum 5 years in nursing and/or advanced nursing practice. Other licensure as relevant to the specific program.

· Assistant Professor or above rank preferred.

· Experience with adult learners preferred.

· Have at least 2 years of teaching experience in a graduate level nursing program.

· Experience teaching in an online program.

· A strong desire for leadership development.

· Experience in curriculum development and educational administration preferred.

· Effective Communication Skills

· Proficiency in using computer and other contemporary instructional technology.
