The Role

Are you passionate about supporting children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist to join Specialist Children’s Services CAMHS within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Working as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist systemic assessment, formulation, consultation and therapeutic interventions for children and young people experiencing complex mental health difficulties. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist systemic assessment, formulation and therapy for children, young people and their families
  • Deliver evidence-based systemic interventions tailored to the needs of children, young people and family systems
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, care planning, formulation and risk management processes
  • Provide expert consultation and systemic advice to colleagues, partner agencies and wider professional networks
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, outcome measures and professional reports in line with service standards
  • Support audit, quality improvement and service development initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Contribute to training, supervision and learning opportunities for colleagues, trainees and multidisciplinary teams

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

  • Masters level qualification in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy or equivalent advanced professional qualification
  • Registration with UKCP and AFT as a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist
  • Qualification in a relevant mental health, health or social welfare profession with significant post-qualification experience
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of systemic assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention with children, young people and families
  • Experience of working effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-agency environments
  • Well-developed communication, consultation and report-writing skills with the ability to convey complex and sensitive information effectively
  • Experience of clinical supervision, service development, audit or quality improvement activities would be advantageous
