The successful candidate will join four other Family Physicians, one Nurse Practitioner, a Family Practice Nurse, one Social Worker, and a part-time Dietician. Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures delivery of comprehensive primary health care services to patients of all ages and stages of health or illness work with other providers in the clinic to provide cross coverage and same day access participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities utilize an electronic medical record (EMR) and record all relevant patient details in a provincially approved EMR which is accessible to all collaborating team members Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners Act as a patient’s advocate Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements Expected Hours full-time Expected Hours full-time 37.5 hours per week 46 weeks per year Remuneration $375,000 - $400,000 CAD Remuneration type is either Longitudinal Family Medicine payment model or a Fee for Service payment model .
