Finance Manager
Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with a significant presence across New Zealand's leading primary sector.
Having continued to invest in its systems, people, and operational capability, the business has evolved into a highly data-informed environment where Finance plays a key role in supporting commercial performance and operational decision-making.
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to lead the on-site finance function and partner closely with leaders across the business.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the CFO and supported by a wider Christchurch-based finance team, you will oversee the site's financial operations and lead an on-site team based in Hokitika, comprising a Cost Accountant and Asset Accountant.
This is a business-critical role that will see you collaborating with operational, production, and management teams to ensure timely financial reporting, accurate performance analysis, and informed decision-making across the business.
The environment is fast-paced and evolving, making it ideal for someone who enjoys change, continuous improvement initiatives, and building strong working relationships across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reporting, costing, and asset management activities.
- Deliver timely financial insights and performance reporting to management.
- Partner with operational leaders to support business performance.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting, and processes.
