About The Role
We’re seeking a hands-on Service Delivery Lead to manage our Supported Independent Living and Residential Services in Taranaki. You’ll lead a team delivering person-centred support, ensure quality and compliance, develop staff capability, and solve operational challenges. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll have authority and expectations: innovate, remove barriers to independence, and build a team that’s equipped and engaged. This is leadership with real impact—not process management.

What Would You Do
- Lead and coach teams providing support to disabled people in independent and residential settings
- Ensure quality, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance across all services
- Manage performance, development, and wellbeing of your teams
- Work with the General Manager to plan and deliver services aligned with our vision
- Identify and implement improvements to how we deliver support
- Represent the services in stakeholder conversations (whānau, funders, health providers, community)
- Participate in an after-hours on-call roster
Essential
What you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7) e.g. bachelors in management, nursing, social services, psychology, or commensurate experience
- Relevant work experience, including at least two years experience in the health and disability or social services sector
- At least one year’s experience in leading and managing teams
- Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships
- Ability to pick up new processes and a range of IT systems, including systems such as Google Apps and Microsoft 365
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and to multi-task
- Proven experience in managing people’s performance
- Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster
