FINANCE MANAGER | EASTERN CAPE | AGRICULTURE
An exciting opportunity has just opened for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and growing business within the agricultural sector, based in the Eastern Cape.
This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the full finance function and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and performance of the business.
Location: Eastern Cape
Relocation: Accommodation for you and your family will be provided in newly developed homes. They will also consider candidates based in St Francis Bay, Jeffreys Bay and surrounding areas who are comfortable commuting, with petrol/travel costs covered.
THE ROLE
The Finance Manager will oversee the day-to-day finance function while providing meaningful commercial insight and financial guidance to the wider business.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the full finance function, including VAT, banking, cash flow, payroll, administration and audit processes
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and financial planning
- Providing commercial and financial advice to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Conducting financial risk analysis and ensuring strong governance and regulatory compliance
- Preparing high-level management and executive reporting
- Identifying opportunities for improved cost management, efficiency and business performance
- Supporting wider business growth and continuous improvement initiatives
- Managing, mentoring and developing the finance team
- Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business to provide financial insight and support
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Someone who combines strong technical finance capability with commercial awareness, leadership and a willingness to get involved in the detail.
Essential:
- Qualified CA(SA)/AGA(SA)/SAIPA/CIMA
- Minimum 7 years' finance experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial or leadership capacity
- Strong understanding of financial management, reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Proven ability to manage and develop a finance team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Advantageous:
- Experience within the agricultural sector
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting systems
