Job Description: FLDP Overview: The program’s duration is approximately 3 years and is designed to prepare individuals for leadership roles in accounting and finance. To achieve maximum personal growth and professional exposure through your program experience, you will support various finance departments within our America’s North Division, such as Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, Plant Finance, and Financial Planning & Analysis with potential to support other global and regional finance teams as opportunities arise. The program includes a fluid rotation schedule, consisting of 1 required rotation at a US based manufacturing plant and 2 other rotations within our Americas North Region located in Perrysburg, OH. You will take on deep-dive assignments tailored to your development goals and organizational needs. Throughout the program you will find mentorship amongst the program leader, rotational managers, and other FLDPs. Regular check-ins with both the FLDP leader and your rotation manager will support your progress, help address challenges, and explore opportunities for advancement throughout the program and beyond. To be successful in this program, one should have: Desire to work in a manufacturing plant environment Ability to analyze complex problems and make data-driven decisions Natural curiosity, eagerness to learn, and strategic thinking High motivation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team Excellent communication and presentation skills Initiative and adaptability in dynamic environments. Program Guidelines : You will be exposed to meaningful projects and mentorship opportunities in some of the areas listed below. The rotations can occur in any order, and the only guaranteed rotation is the Plant Finance rotation (other rotations vary due to timing and business need). Plant Finance: Initial 6mo: Operations Accountant This position is responsible for performing standardized or routine professional accounting and financial analysis work for America’s North Operations. The primary job duties include compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data related to operations. This rotation is located in Perrysburg, OH but the responsibilities focus on the US plant location for the upcoming relocation. Subsequent 12mo: Plant Accountant This position will support plant finance. You will work closely with the plant controller on the financial aspects of the operation. While your specific duties may vary throughout the assignment, you can expect to participate in month-end and year-end closing, and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting and execution, review general ledgers, prepare journal entries, and perform fixed asset, inventory, and cost accounting. Relocation is required for this assignment. Commercial Finance: This position is responsible for providing timely pricing and profitability analysis to sales, marketing, and financial stakeholders. This will be accomplished through the use of pricing and data tools, sales and customer feedback, and an understanding of cost and profitability data. Financial Planning & Analysis: This position is responsible for providing timely and accurate forecasts to meet the various forecasting needs within America’s North Finance. The primary job duties include ownership of the operating expense forecast and coordination with Plant Finance related to plant metrics. Internal Audit : This position will validate management testing associated with the Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements while participating in the execution of plant, division and corporate audits. You will participate in the planning and execution of various audit projects with the objectives of assessing the design and effectiveness of internal controls and validating the accuracy of account balances. Other Global and Regional Finance Teams as opportunities arise! Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Target Graduation: December 2026 or May 2027 Ability to travel throughout North America during the program and relocate upon program completion; travel expenses and relocation support will be provided by O-I. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Salary Range: The salary for this position is $69,000. Actual compensation may vary depending on a range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and skill level. This range is provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
