About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading international contractor delivering a hyperscale data centre campus in Lisbon, Portugal. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the largest and most technically advanced data centre builds in Southern Europe from an early stage.
We are looking for an experienced Civils Foreman to take ownership of the civil and structural works on site — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads from the front, and takes pride in delivering quality work safely and on programme.

What You'll Be Doing
▸ Supervising and coordinating all civils and structural works including earthworks, foundations, piling, ground beams, RC frames, drainage, and external hardstanding
▸ Managing and directing site operatives, gangs, and subcontractor teams to ensure daily productivity targets and programme milestones are achieved
▸ Reading, interpreting, and working from construction drawings, specifications, and method statements
▸ Conducting daily briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
▸ Monitoring quality of works against project specifications, ITPs, and relevant standards
▸ Coordinating with the Site Manager, Project Manager, engineers, and other discipline foremen to manage interfaces and resolve issues
▸ Maintaining accurate daily records — labour allocation, plant utilisation, material deliveries, and progress reporting
▸ Identifying and escalating risks, delays, or variations in a timely manner
▸ Ensuring safe operation of all plant and equipment and verifying operator competency
What We're Looking For
▸ 5–10+ years' experience as a Civils Foreman or Senior Supervisor on large-scale construction projects — data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or commercial
▸ Strong background in concrete works, RC frames, foundations, drainage, and external works
▸ Proven experience managing teams of 20+ operatives and coordinating multiple subcontractor packages
▸ Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings and specifications
▸ SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent health and safety certification
▸ Valid CSCS card or European equivalent
▸ Experience on international projects or willingness to relocate to Lisbon
▸ Fluency in English is essential; Portuguese or other European languages are a distinct advantage
Desirable:
▸ Temporary Works Coordinator qualification
▸ First Aid at Work certification
▸ Previous data centre or mission-critical construction experience
