We’re partnering with a well-funded, early-stage AI company developing intelligent infrastructure for the consumer-lending industry. Its platform enables leading financial institutions to deploy production-grade voice and SMS agents across customer service, payments, collections, qualification, and compliance workflows.

The company is growing rapidly, has demonstrated significant commercial traction, and is backed by a leading startup accelerator and experienced operators from the fintech and technology sectors.

The role

We’re hiring four Forward Deployed Engineers to become the technical point of contact within the company’s most important enterprise customer accounts.

You’ll work closely with major U.S. lenders to translate complex, regulated workflows into reliable production AI agents. This role combines software engineering, implementation, customer partnership, and product feedback.

This is not a traditional solutions-engineering or consulting position. You’ll write production code, launch AI agents, monitor their performance, and continuously improve them based on real-world usage.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and taking ownership from initial problem definition through production deployment.

What you’ll own

• Build, configure, and launch AI agents for real-world borrower and customer-service workflows.
• Write production-quality backend and full-stack code in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Integrate with loan-servicing platforms, internal data sources, telephony systems, and enterprise tools.
• Own the complete agent lifecycle, from rapid prototyping and deployment through monitoring, iteration, and documentation.
• Translate ambiguous customer requirements into stable, scalable production solutions.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for strategic enterprise accounts.
• Build customer trust through speed, reliability, and measurable impact.
• Identify reusable implementation patterns and feed customer insights into the core product and roadmap.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software-engineering experience, ideally with 3–5 years of experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing engineering, implementation, solutions, or technical consulting role.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Experience building APIs, backend systems, and production integrations.
• A track record of owning projects end-to-end with limited guidance.
• Confidence working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Genuine interest in consumer lending, financial services, or regulated technology.
• Familiarity with modern AI development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary: $170,000–$250,000.
