Founding Engineer

**MyT Global Recruitment is hiring a Founding Engineer for an early-stage AI company based in San Francisco.**

This is one of the company’s first engineering hires, with significant ownership over product, architecture, and technical execution. We are looking for a highly hands-on builder who has already worked in zero-to-one environments and wants to help build an AI-native product from the ground up.

**About the Opportunity**

- Employment: Full-time

- Location: San Francisco, CA

- Work Model: On-site, 6 days per week

- Base estimated Salary: US$150,000–250,000 depending on experience

- Equity: 1–3%, with potential for higher equity for exceptional candidates

- Relocation: Candidates outside the US may be considered, including potential O-1 visa support

**What You’ll Do**

- Build core product and infrastructure from zero to one.

- Develop production-grade systems involving AI agents and LLMs.

- Work across the stack using technologies such as TypeScript and Python.

- Design and scale reliable systems as the product and customer base grow.

- Build internal tools, agent workflows, and evaluation systems.

- Work directly with the founding team and take ownership of critical technical decisions.

**What We’re Looking For**

- Approximately 1–8 years of full-time professional experience.

- Previous experience as a founder, technical co-founder, CTO, founding engineer, or early engineer at a high-growth startup.

- Strong hands-on software or ML engineering experience with production systems.

- Experience building products or systems from scratch.

- Familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, or agentic development tooling.

- Strong product mindset, technical curiosity, and ability to move quickly in ambiguous environments.

- Willingness to relocate to San Francisco and work on-site 6 days per week.

**Strong Plus**

- Early experience at an AI-native or YC-backed startup.

- Previous founder or CTO experience.

- Standout technical internships, side projects, competitions, or other evidence of exceptional technical ability.

- Experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, full-stack development, or ML/AI systems.
