Founding Engineer, Early Career

About the Role

Join a small founding engineering team at an early-stage cybersecurity software company building infrastructure to help enterprises monitor and secure their use of AI. You will take ownership of systems and features from design through production, with a direct role in shaping the platform's technical direction.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship end-to-end features for enterprise customers, from initial implementation through deployment.

• Develop data infrastructure that ingests high-volume, varied telemetry from endpoint, network, identity, and model gateway systems.

• Design real-time detection and policy enforcement for emerging risks in AI agents.

• Work with customers during proofs of concept and deployments, adapting features to meet their needs.

• Train and evaluate small models for low-latency decisions based on behavioral signals.

• Test models and agents for issues such as prompt injection, unsafe tool use, data exposure, and scope drift.

• Contribute to platform architecture and technical decisions across the engineering team.

What We're Looking For

• Zero to five years of software engineering experience, including internships, with a focus on backend or full-stack product development.

• Strong backend and systems fundamentals, including experience with distributed systems, infrastructure, or high-volume data pipelines.

• Experience building and operating production software, ideally in a fast-moving startup or similarly hands-on environment.

• Familiarity with Go or Rust, streaming pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and real-time data systems.

• Interest or experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, red teaming, applied machine learning, or model fine-tuning.

• Comfort taking end-to-end ownership and working directly with customers in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $160,000 to $300,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
