About the Role

Join an early-stage AI operations software team as its first in-person engineering hire in New York City. You will own the core systems connecting AI-powered workflows with business software and logistics partners, helping keep critical wholesale operations reliable and visible.

What You'll Do

Work directly with users to shape customer-facing features, build them, and take them from concept through production.
Design secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines that support automated workflows.
Develop internal and external APIs and a real-time operator console for visibility into operations.
Build integrations with business systems, logistics providers, retailers, and freight partners, along with reliable synchronization infrastructure.
Establish observability, service-level objectives, and on-call practices for mission-critical workflows.
Work across backend, data engineering, and frontend development based on the highest-priority needs.

What We're Looking For

Typically 2 to 6 years of software engineering experience, including hands-on product-oriented startup experience outside consultancy.
A strong full-stack foundation and experience building robust, reliable production systems.
Working knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, React, Tailwind, Postgres, queues or streams, and AWS or GCP.
Ability to lead work end to end, with sound systems thinking and strong product intuition.
Startup or small-team experience is valuable. Experience in larger technology organizations is welcome, alongside a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-moving team.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $160,000 to $250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site five days a week in New York City, New York, United States. Relocation is an option for candidates willing to work on-site.
