About Finta
Finta is building the finance platform startups should have had from day one.
Today, startup finance is fragmented. Bookkeeping lives in one place, taxes in another, reporting in spreadsheets, forecasting in someone’s head, and founders are left trying to piece together what is actually happening in the business.
We want Finta to become the go-to solution for the entire finance function: accounting, taxes, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and real-time insights, all in one place.
We raised $2M from Y Combinator, Mercury’s CEO, and leaders at Mercury, Brex, and Ramp. Since launching in 2023, we have grown organically through word of mouth and now serve hundreds of paying customers.
We are a small, high-caliber team with a bias for shipping. There are no layers here. You’ll work directly with Andy, the founder, and get close to customers, product, positioning, and GTM.
This is a founding role where the scope can expand quickly if you earn trust. We work together in person 5 days a week in San Francisco, near the Ferry Building, and expect people to take ownership without needing a lot of structure.
About the role
We’re hiring a Founding Partnerships Lead to build Finta’s partner program from zero.
Accelerators put new batches of freshly incorporated companies through their programs every year, and almost all of them need accounting and a tax return within months. Many of our customers come out of YC, but we haven’t built formal partnerships yet. That’s your job.
Accelerators are the core channel. Platforms are partners you’ll team up with to work those same companies:
- Accelerators: YC, a16z speedrun, PearX, Neo, South Park Commons, Techstars, and other top programs
- Platforms: Brex, Ramp, Mercury, Stripe, Rippling, Rho, Slash, and others
At least half of this role is outbound. You’ll prospect founders in partner cohorts directly and take them from first touch to close.
What you’ll do
- Build the partner program: offer, tiering, landing pages, and attribution tracking
- Run outbound to founders in each partner accelerator, from first touch to close
- Get Finta into accelerator perk lists and resource pages
- Work with platforms on co-marketing, events, and joint outreach
- Carry a number: a target share of each accelerator’s companies on Finta
- Build the partnerships playbook
Must-haves
- You think clearly
- You communicate clearly, in writing and out loud
- You solve problems without waiting for instructions
- You’re AI-pilled, and know when to use it and when not to
You’ll be a good fit if you
- Have built a partner program that actually sent customers, not just signed logos
- Know the startup ecosystem: accelerators, VC platform teams, or startup-facing fintech
- Are comfortable doing outbound and selling directly to founders
- Write well enough to make an offer land with partners and founders
- Want to become deeply credible on startup finance, accounting, and taxes
You should not join Finta if
- You measure success in logos signed rather than customers produced
- You dislike outbound
- You want a role that is mostly strategy, not execution
- You want to work remotely
Why join
- Build Finta’s partner channel from zero
- Work directly with the founder
- Build relationships across YC, top accelerators, VCs, and the platforms founders use most
- Join a small team with strong organic growth, hundreds of paying customers, and top-tier investors
Compensation and benefits
- $165k-190k OTE (65/35 base/variable) + 0.5-2% equity
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Meals, gym membership, and professional education benefits
- Monthly team events and annual company offsite
- Visa sponsorship and relocation support available
Important
In addition to applying, please email Andy with:
- A partnership you built that produced real revenue
- How long it took from first conversation to that partner’s first customer
