Founding Product Engineer

About the Role

Join a small team building AI coding agents and research software for financial services customers. As the first engineering hire, you will help mature the core product and work directly with customers to turn their research needs into reliable, tailored software.

What You'll Do

• Build and improve coding agents that create custom data pipelines, web scrapers, and dashboards.

• Manage remote development environments and infrastructure for customer deployments.

• Work directly with customers to understand research goals and deliver tailored solutions.

• Take features from initial design and scoping through implementation and delivery.

• Develop agent skills, tool libraries, and scaffolding that expand the platform's capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• Two to four years of full-stack product engineering experience, including shipping products end to end across frontend, backend, and data.

• Strong engineering fundamentals and a degree in computer science or another STEM field from a highly ranked US or Canadian university.

• Experience with Python, React, SQL, LLMs, and agent frameworks.

• Experience building LLM-powered applications or coding agents, and data pipelines using web scraping, APIs, and ETL for structured or unstructured data.

• Customer-facing engineering experience translating client requirements into shipped products.

• Background in finance, investing, or financial data products is valuable. Projects, open-source contributions, or writing that demonstrate initiative and craft are also valued.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $165,000 to $210,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.
