Freelance Senior Project Manager (part-time)

ICF NEXT is looking for a part-time Freelance Senior Project Manager to support one of its clients based in Bonn, Germany . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional with strong media relations expertise, strategic thinking skills, and a deep understanding of the regional media landscape. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and overseeing communication activities, ensuring high-quality delivery and smooth coordination of media and communication initiatives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensuring the smooth workflow and quality assurance of press and communication activities delivered for the client Building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and other communication stakeholders Designing and implementing media strategies that support communication objectives and initiatives Identifying opportunities for collaboration with relevant partners, networks, and multipliers Conducting analyses and developing recommendations for future communication initiatives and independent evaluations Providing strategic input and feedback on ongoing projects to strengthen media outreach and communication effectiveness Identifying opportunities to enhance visibility and engagement through regional communication activities, projects, and partnerships Planning and coordinating media presence across a variety of channels and platforms Required Skills & Experience Proven experience in media relations, communication strategy, and stakeholder engagement Strong understanding of the media landscape in the region and ability to identify strategic communication opportunities Ability to analyse complex information and translate insights into actionable recommendations Excellent planning and coordination skills, including managing media presence across different media outlets and communication channels Ability to identify, summarize, and present strategic opportunities for visibility and engagement Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly adaptable, proactive, and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities Languages German: Minimum C1 , preferably C2 English: Minimum C1 Location: Bonn, Germany Engagement Type: Part-Time Freelance Assignment If you have a passion for strategic communications, media engagement, and stakeholder management, we'd love to hear from you.
