Role description

You will collaborate with artists, engineers, and technology partners to design and build cutting-edge applications that merge creativity with advanced technology. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying proof-of-concept solutions for interactive and audience-facing stage experiences. You will work across the full technology stack, from architecture and infrastructure to AI-powered edge computing and user-facing applications.

You will develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, and edge AI components while setting up automated QA and testing systems. You will serve as the technical software point of contact between artistic partners, engineering teams, and client stakeholders. You will be part of an agile software team focused on translating user needs into practical solutions based on client feedback.

This position is offered through an engineering consulting company. You will be employed by the consulting company and assigned to the client’s project.

Visa: Visa support is available only for candidates already residing in Belgium. If you are applying outside of Belgium, you must have EU work authorization.

Work arrangement: Hybrid, with 3 mandatory on-site days per week.

Responsibilities

Develop proof-of-concept applications for interactive and audience-facing stage experiences.
Develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, and AI-powered edge computing components.
Design and implement software infrastructure and deployment solutions for applications running across cloud, local, and edge environments.
Integrate software with existing hardware, software, and interactive systems in collaboration with artistic and technical partners.
Translate user and client needs into practical software solutions and adapt priorities based on client feedback.
Serve as the technical software point of contact between artistic partners, engineering teams, and client stakeholders.
Build automated testing and QA processes to ensure reliable software development and deployment.
Balance architectural decisions with hands-on development.

Main requirements

Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Python.
Experience in backend/API development and modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
Solid understanding of infrastructure setup and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience deploying and operating CUDA-accelerated AI and LLM models on edge devices (such as NVIDIA Jetson platforms).
Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine.
