Junior Full Stack Developer – Python, React & AI

Work Arrangement: Onsite – 4 Days/Week (Looking for individuals based in IL Only)

About the Role

Peterson Technology Partners (PTP) is looking for a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our growing technology team in Park Ridge, IL.

This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys building modern applications and wants hands-on exposure to AI/LLM technologies. You will work across the full technology stack, developing applications with Python, React.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, and AI technologies such as Anthropic Claude.

What You’ll Do

• Build responsive and scalable frontend applications using React.js
• Develop backend APIs and services using Python/FastAPI
• Design, query, and maintain PostgreSQL databases
• Deploy and maintain applications in AWS
• Integrate Claude and other LLM APIs into AI-powered applications
• Troubleshoot, test, and continuously improve applications
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams
• Contribute to the development of AI-enabled products and solutions

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of full-stack development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, React.js, and PostgreSQL
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Working knowledge of Git
• Basic hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience or familiarity with Claude, LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI applications
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Park Ridge, IL, 4 days per week
