Full Stack .NET Engineer

We're seeking a talented Full Stack .NET Engineer to join our team and help build out an insurance platform. This is an established .NET solution that handles quoting, policy management, document generation, integrations, and reporting, and it's currently being incrementally transformed into a modular, service-oriented architecture.

This role is ideal for someone who's enthusiastic about .NET web development, enjoys modernizing legacy systems on Azure step-by-step, and wants to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications that provide end-to-end solutions for the insurance platform
• Support the gradual transformation of the monolithic platform into independent microservices and APIs
• Separate out key functions like document generation, payments, nightly processing, notifications, and rating into their own modular services
• Design and build inbound and outbound APIs that connect with third-party raters, partners, and internal systems
• Create and improve database solutions, covering query tuning, stored procedures, and database architecture
• Set up CI/CD pipelines, manage releases, and build automation workflows
• Take part in the team's AI adoption efforts, using tools such as GitHub Copilot
• Follow secure coding standards throughout all development work
• Work closely with teammates, keep documentation clear, and hit project deadlines
• Maintain production stability while rolling out new features and enhancements

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience delivering end-to-end full-stack web applications
• Strong command of .NET Core (8-10), Entity Framework, and Dapper
• Solid expertise in REST and XML-based APIs
• Advanced database skills in MS SQL, including query tuning, stored procedures, and design
• Practical experience with Azure, particularly Azure App Service and Azure Container Apps
• A background developing web apps with a major framework such as ReactJS or Angular
• Familiarity with DevOps practices for CI/CD, release management, and automation, using tools like Azure DevOps, Azure Repos or GitHub, and Azure ARM or Terraform
• Experience with GitHub Copilot and openness to embracing AI adoption within the team
• Working knowledge of SignalR / WebSockets
• Solid AI-assisted development skills
• A strong emphasis on secure coding practices
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and thrive in a collaborative team setting
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above

Nice to have

• Experience in AI Solution Engineering, Python, and Microsoft Power BI
• Exposure to Azure Application Insights, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Pipelines
• Hands-on work with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Knowledge of Microservice Architecture principles
