German Speaking Customer Advisor in Umhlanga!

Position Overview Workplace Location: Umhlanga, Durban (100% In-Person)

Monthly Salary: R24,000 base pay

Schedule: 24/7 rotational roster (5 working days weekly, 8-hour daily shifts)

Role Overview

We are recruiting fluent German speakers to provide exceptional service to shoppers for a major global e-commerce brand. Operating directly from our Umhlanga site, you will serve as the primary customer contact, addressing inquiries related to transactions, shipping updates, payment processing, and item information. This position offers an excellent entry point for professionals eager to advance in the retail and BPO industries.

Primary Responsibilities

• Multichannel Communication: Assist customers seamlessly across chat, phone, and email channels in both German and English.
• Fulfillment Support: Help clients navigate returns, trace shipments, and modify active orders.
• Conflict Resolution: De-escalate customer concerns effectively through clear reasoning and active empathy.
• Product Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of stock offerings and platform policies to deliver reliable information.
• Account Documentation: Record all customer interactions thoroughly within the CRM system.
• Performance Goals: Meet or exceed team operational benchmarks, prioritizing customer satisfaction scores and quality standards.
  
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Language Proficiency: Fluent command of German (at least B2 level, written and spoken) alongside fluent professional English.
• Education: High school certificate (Matric / Grade 12) or equal credential.
• Availability: Complete readiness to accommodate rotating schedules, including evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Technical Aptitude: Able to multitask comfortably across multiple web browsers, internal systems, and software programs.
• Experience: Prior experience in customer service, BPO, or retail is advantageous; comprehensive paid onboarding is provided.
