Job Description Summary What impact you’ll make Reporting to Global Technical Support Leader, the Global Process Engineering Leader (GPEL) will serve as the primary architect for manufacturing process standardization within the Gas Power Global Supply Chain. You will lead the 1P1P (One Product One Process) initiative across four value streams: Gas Turbine, Generator, Repairs, and HRSG/Steam. Your mandate is to bridge the gap between GE Vernova’s Global 1P1P strategy and shop-floor execution by leading a team of Global Process Engineer Authorities (GPEAs). Through influential leadership, you will balance the technical support required by our global sites with the accountability necessary to ensure rigorous adherence to 1P1P equipment and process standards. Job Description What you’ll do 1P1P Strategic Ownership: Drive 1P1P methodology as the technical lead for Gas Power. Translate global corporate standards into actionable, site-specific process improvements that optimize SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics. GPEA Team Leadership & Oversight: Direct Management: Lead, mentor, and coach a team of GPEAs who serve as subject matter experts for specific equipment technologies such as machining, welding, assembly, etc. with support functions for automation, robotics, and maintenance across all four value streams. Support-vs-Accountability Balance: Foster a dual-purpose team culture: Support: Act as primary consultants for site-level bottlenecks, rapid problem-solving, and implementation of new technology. Accountability: Serve as the "custodians of 1P1P," monitoring site adherence to standards and intervening when site practices deviate from the roadmap. Institutional Learning: Codify technical knowledge gained during site problem-solving back into global 1P1P standards to prevent recurring issues across the global footprint. Value Stream Operationalization: Oversee the lifecycle of manufacturing technology from concept through retirement. Ensure equipment and process investments align with the 1P1P benchmark for repeatability and efficiency across: Gas Turbine Generator HRSG/Steam Repairs Digital & Automation Roadmap: Integrate and accelerate the "Next Generation Supply Chain" transition by integrating automation and digital tools to reach new levels of AI, autonomous machine learning, and condition-based monitoring into existing manufacturing lines. Strategic Collaboration: Act as the primary interface between the Gas Power Supply Chain and the Central Robotics and Automation organization. Influence stakeholders across EHS, Quality, Materials, and Sourcing to ensure manufacturing processes meet both throughput demands and rigorous global safety/regulatory standards. Conflict Resolution: Act as the final escalation point for technical disagreements between site operations and GPEA members, balancing immediate production pressures with long-term 1P1P process integrity. What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field). Experience: Significant industrial experience in leading the design and deployment of advanced manufacturing technologies. Technical Mastery: Deep experience in core processes: Shaping, Machining, Joining (Welding), Finishing, and Complex Assembly. Automation Proficiency: Functional knowledge of the Purdue model for industrial automation including physical and digital; experience with control theory, kinematics, and dynamics. Experience with Lean line implementation and mechanical automation and sensing. Effective Problem Solving: Proficient analytical skills with a focus on applied automation, manufacturing methods, process control, and identifying hardware issues. Leadership: Proven ability to manage global teams, complex P&L/cost centers, and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with a servant leadership approach. Workforce Development: Demonstrated ability to coach and influence others, leading global teams. Travel: Ability to travel 30%+ to global manufacturing sites to drive shop-floor implementation and audit compliance. Analytical Rigor: Demonstrated success using Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Lean methodologies (3P, Poka Yoke, Kaizen) to improve process capability (Cpk/Ppk). For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $ 188,000 and $ 314,000 annually .The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
