Location: Port Pirie, South Australia Contract Type: Fixed Term – 2 years Reports To : Engineering Superintendent Key Responsibilities In this hands-on role, you will: Conduct root cause analyses and electrical reliability investigations to address plant performance issues. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies for electrical assets. Design and deliver electrical projects in alignment with corporate standards and policies. Prepare cost estimates and support capital expenditure (CapEx) submissions. Manage and execute electrical and instrumentation projects to achieve desired outcomes. Optimise and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and control systems across various operational areas. Support reliability improvements for power distribution systems, motors, variable speed drives (VSDs), instrumentation, and automation. Ensure compliance with Nyrstar’s safety, health, and environmental policies. Identify and address electrical safety hazards while contributing to broader site safety initiatives. About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: Education & Certifications: A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering (required). Certification in Workplace Health & Safety training (e.g., White Card) is desirable. Essential Skills & Attributes: Strong organisational, time management, and communication skills.
