PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Hammam Masseur Assistant will support the Hammam Masseur in delivering traditional Moroccan Hammam treatments within a luxury private household.

The position is responsible for preparing treatment rooms, Hammam products and equipment, assisting during treatments as instructed, and maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene, privacy and guest care.

The successful candidate will be professional, discreet and well-groomed, with an understanding of Moroccan Hammam traditions and the ability to provide courteous service within a highly private VVIP environment.

Qualifications / Certifications

• Moroccan Psassport- mandatory
• Moroccan Arabic Language - Mandatory
• Spa, wellness, Hammam or massage therapy training highly regarded
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of traditional Moroccan Hammam rituals, products and preparation advantageous
• Knowledge of appropriate hygiene, sanitation and health and safety procedures
  
  

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Previous experience in traditional Moroccan Hammam treatments, massage therapy or a luxury spa environment advantageous
• Familiarity with Hammam products including black soap, Kessa gloves and Ghassoul clay
• Strong personal hygiene and grooming standards
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professional, respectful and service-focused manner
• Ability to follow instructions from the Hammam Masseur / Spa Supervisor
• Comfortable working within a private household environment
• Able to maintain complete discretion and confidentiality
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a warm and humid Hammam environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  
  

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Hammam Masseur with the preparation and delivery of traditional Moroccan Hammam treatments
• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and supplies before each treatment
• Prepare black soap, Kessa gloves, Ghassoul clay, towels and other Hammam products
• Assist with Hammam treatments as instructed by the qualified Masseur
• Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised
• Maintain exceptional hygiene and presentation standards throughout the Hammam and spa areas
• Replenish treatment products, towels and other supplies as required
• Monitor stock levels and advise the supervisor when products require replenishment
• Prepare the Hammam area prior to the arrival of household members or guests
• Maintain professional grooming and personal hygiene at all times
• Respect the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of the Principal, household members and guests
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation and hygiene procedures
• Provide discreet, courteous and professional service consistent with VVIP private household standards
• Follow instructions and operational procedures established by the Hammam Masseur and Spa Supervisor
• Assist with additional spa preparation and support duties as reasonably required
  
  

SALARY

AED 7,500 per month
