Head of Operations
Poole – Relocation support available
Competitive Salary + Benefits
LHH is partnering with a leading manufacturer of electric motors, geared motor systems and motion control solutions to appoint a Head of Operations to drive operational performance, continuous improvement and cultural transformation across its manufacturing site.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a Director-level leadership position offering the opportunity to make a significant impact within an established manufacturing business that forms part of a much larger international organisation. With ambitious growth plans and a strong focus on future development, the role offers excellent opportunities for career progression and the chance to contribute to the wider success of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving a high-performance culture, establishing clear operational priorities and embedding accountability and disciplined execution throughout the organisation. A significant focus will be placed on employee development, retention and engagement, alongside creating a positive working environment and delivering strategic and operational objectives.
The role will lead the implementation of continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives, using lean methodologies and structured performance management to improve productivity, optimise processes and enhance manufacturing performance. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, the Head of Operations will also support capacity planning, budgeting, investment decisions and the longer-term development of the business.
We are seeking an experienced senior operations leader with a strong background in manufacturing and technical environments, a proven track record of improving operational performance and the ability to lead organisational change. You will bring a hands-on, delivery-focused approach, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to engage teams at all levels while operating effectively within a wider group structure.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded leader to join a business with significant growth ambitions, shape operational strategy and develop high-performing teams, while benefiting from the wider opportunities and career development potential of a larger international group. Relocation support is available for candidates looking to relocate to the Poole area.
