Position: Head of Supply Chain Management – Power T&D
Location: Middle East
Sector: Power Transmission, Distribution & Infrastructure
Package and Relocation: The package includes family-status benefits, medical insurance, annual air tickets, visa and applicable levy support, and an annual bonus
About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Supply Chain Management to lead and transform global procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain operations for our client's Power Transmission & Distribution business.
Operating across a multi-country footprint spanning 25+ countries and managing over 150+ concurrent projects, this leadership role oversees approximately US$3 billion in annual procurement spend. You will direct strategic sourcing, framework agreements for critical high-voltage equipment, and vendor resilience to power large-scale energy infrastructure safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute the end-to-end SCM and procurement strategy for the Power T&D business, aligning commercial goals with major infrastructure project delivery.
- Complex Sourcing & Frameworks: Oversee procurement of high-value direct equipment and packages (including high-voltage transformers, switchgear, cabling, substations, and overhead lines).
- Team & Organizational Development: Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing procurement organisation comprising 30–40 professionals and 7–8 direct reports.
- Global OEM & EPC Partnerships: Establish strategic, long-term enterprise models and framework agreements with Tier-1 global OEMs and EPC contractors across Europe, Asia, and international markets.
- Commercial Governance & Risk Mitigation: Drive aggressive commercial negotiations, cost optimisation, supply chain resilience, and robust risk management strategies to insulate projects from global supply chain volatility.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with executive project delivery, engineering, and regional leadership teams to ensure seamless material flow, logistics, and site execution.
Profile & Requirements:
- Experience: 20+ years of senior-level procurement and supply chain leadership experience within Power T&D, energy, utilities, or large-scale EPC/infrastructure environments.
- Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of electrical transmission infrastructure, high-voltage equipment, and substation build packages.
- Global & Regional Exposure: Strong background managing international supply chains and multi-geography vendor bases. GCC project delivery experience is a strong preference.
- Leadership Competency: Exceptional stakeholder management, board-level reporting, and cross-functional team leadership capabilities.
What We Offer:
- Highly competitive, tax-efficient executive compensation package.
- Comprehensive family-status benefits, medical insurance, annual air tickets, and visa/levy support.
- Performance-based annual bonuses and relocation/housing assistance.
