Role Description This full-time on-site Heavy Diesel Mechanic role is based in the Greater Sydney Area,
The Heavy Diesel Mechanic will carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy vehicles and trailers.
Daily tasks include performing scheduled servicing, conducting preventive maintenance checks, troubleshooting mechanical and completing necessary documentation and service reports.
The role also involves inspecting vehicles for safety and compliance, collaborating with other team members to prioritize work, and ensuring all work meets company standards and applicable regulations.
The mechanic will maintain a clean and safe workspace, use appropriate tools and equipment, and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Qualifications
* Candidates should possess strong skills in Diesel Mechanics and working with Heavy Equipment
* Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance
* Candidates should possess experience in implementing Preventive Maintenance programs.
* Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in heavy diesel mechanics or a related field
*Experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles, trucks, or plant equipment in a workshop or field environment.
*Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
*Commitment to workplace safety, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures.
*Valid driver’s license; a heavy vehicle license is advantageous
*Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
